Churches Together prepare for Climate Sunday

Woodbridge Quakers are part of Churches Together looking to hold an event at Kingston Field subject to Town Council approval.
The plan is to hold a service at 4pm, and before that there should be speakers, music and stalls on an eco/environmental theme.  A list of speakers will be available later.
It is anticipated that local eco groups, charities and schools will have stalls that explore the effects of global warming and promote their specific local activities.  They will be contacted once the Town Council has given the go ahead.
It is hoped to set up a stage near the Pavilion café so that various musicians from the churches can take part in the afternoon and the service.
It is also hoped that children can be involved in making a fancy dress outfit out of items we would normally throw away.
The next meeting of the Churches Together planning committee for Climate Sunday will be on 12 July, following which this news item will be updated.

The event is finished.
